- All permanent joints are morticed and tenoned, then glued with a specially formulated epoxy resin - designed to flex with timber movement. ( generic timber settiings are wood screwed )

- Devon believe in the value of the table not only being on top - but equally important underneath - sometimes tables get dragged around. Larger dimensioned timber is used to be more durable and will prevent sinking into soft surfaces like lawns.

- All fittings are zinc alloy & aluminium stainless steel - so as to retain their natural finish in all climati conditions.

- If left untreated, your Devon furniture will weather naturally to a silver-grey ( but will not split or splinter over time) . Oiling the furniture will assist in maintaining the original colour.

- The Devon Chairs use 100% Acrylic fibre - so they are air permeable, Rot-Proof and Colour-fast. Clean with bleach and soapy water. Fabric covers on some chairs are padded - so eliminating the need to cushions - They’re extremely comfortable in our opinion. Devon covers have been know to last upwards of 15 years.

- The timber is Kwila found across Southern Asia & the Pacific. Because of its Stability & Resistance to decay and insect attack, it is commonly used for wharf construction, house pilings, decking and of course quality Outdoor Furniture. Kwila has a rich golden brown hue with many varied grain patterns. Timber colour may vary from blonde to brunette but as each table is hand-made, complimentary planks are selected. Kwila has a high resin content and excess resin will “bleed” out of the timber, the “bleeding period” though short is unpredicatble in length. This can be accelerated by frequent hosing and it is best to place the furniture on grass so as not to mark your patio.( Any resin marks will disappear over time)
